The physicians and staff at Brain2Spine Institute are committed to providing excellent care in the midst of the recent Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Our clinic will continue to remain open during normal business hours so that we may serve our patients in the best way possible. Our staff is continuing to monitor the situation, following best practices from the CDC, Florida Department of Health and other agencies.

The health and well-being of our patients will always be our top priority. Here are several ways that we are working to maintain a safe and sanitary clinic environment for our patients, staff and community alike.

Telehealth Options
We understand that some patients may feel more comfortable staying home as they practice social distancing. For this reason, we are extending telehealth services to our patients, which allow us to treat and prescribe medication if necessary through a virtual visit. These visits may be conducted through phone or video chat with one of our physicians. Not all conditions may be assessed through a telehealth visit, but a majority will be.

We also ask patients who are sick or otherwise exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or other illnesses, to stay home out of respect for others. Patients who are showing signs of illness may be turned away and advised to participate in telehealth visits with their physician.

Waiting Rooms
In compliance with social distancing, we ask patients to stay at least 6 feet apart in the waiting room. To reduce the number of people in our clinic we recommend that each patient bring only one guest. Patients may also wait in their car until their scheduled appointment time.

Disinfecting Processes
Our staff is working diligently to disinfect all frequently touched surfaces in the clinic including but not limited to door handles, countertops, toilet flush handles, sinks, faucets and armrests. All equipment in each examination room will be wiped down and disinfected.

How You Can Help
The best way you can help prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds and practice safe social distancing. If you are showing signs of fever or other symptoms, stay home to prevent others from getting sick. If you feel your appointment is best handled over the phone, please call the clinic at (727) 263-1838 to schedule a telehealth visit.

The team at Brain2Spine Institute is continuing to monitor the COVID-19 outbreak very closely, and we will keep you updated regarding any major changes. As we continue to take steps to keep our community safe, we ask that you do the same.
